“It was an uplifting and motivating event in these otherwise difficult times.”

I am extremely honored to have been awarded the Winn Newman Lifetime ACHIEVEMENT Award.

On September 23, approximately six weeks before the most critical election in our nation’s history, ADA members and friends gathered for our first ever virtual gala celebration. We came together to hear inspiring speeches, listened to wonderful music and celebrated liberal heroes: E. J. Dionne, Yolanda Caraway, Betty King and Leo Gerard.

And, we wanted you to be a part of it all as we come together to boost our energy for the battle ahead.

Because of Covid, our celebration – like so many others – was held at a distance. In the midst of our sadness at not coming together in person, we rejoiced in the fact that many more of you will be able to join in the celebration.”
